Colour management

Colour management is a standardised approach to colour adjustment for various input and output devices with the aim of attaining as consistent a colour output result as possible across different manufacturers, devices and media.

Colour management is crucial because different printing methods and substrates reflect a distinctive colour impression. Colour management can be used to simulate the printed result in advance by using calibrated and profiled output devices (monitors/proofing devices) in real colour. This method is based on ISO-12647-2:2013 (FOGRA 51/52), an international standard for the industry for which Topac holds certification.
